Trump pollster's campaign autopsy paints damning picture of defeat

The 27-page report, was written by Trump chief pollster Tony Fabrizio.
The post-mortem, a copy of which was obtained by POLITICO, says the former president suffered from voter perception that he wasn’t honest or trustworthy and that he was crushed by disapproval of his handling of the coronavirus pandemic. And while Trump spread baseless accusations of ballot-stuffing in heavily Black cities, the report notes that he was done in by hemorrhaging support from white voters.
The report zeroes in on an array of demographics where Trump suffered decisive reversals in 2020, including among white seniors, the same group that helped to propel him to the White House. The autopsy says that Trump saw the “greatest erosion with white voters, particularly white men,” and that he “lost ground with almost every age group.” In the five states that flipped to Biden, Trump’s biggest drop-off was among voters aged 18-29 and 65 and older.
Suburbanites — who bolted from Trump after 2016 — also played a major role. The report says that the former president suffered a “double-digit erosion” with “White College educated voters across the board.”
The picture of the election presented in the report is widely shared by political professionals in both parties, if not by Trump and his legions of his supporters.

Yah this guy needs to work beyond 2020 so of course he’s pitching the narrative

Trump won more counties in 2020 than he did in 2016. frick the fake news.
Biden had the most votes ever while winning the least amount of counties ever
Lmao to anyone who doesn’t think fraud happened

Once again / politico amd all of the msm = fake news. Release this so called report. The Ussr media back in the high of their power was more reliable than our own media these says

How can any of that be true, when you look at the small number of white voters, in the few precincts where he lost? That's all bullshite. He lost in very few areas, and they were all inner city.

Worse, from Politico.

Yet there's really no debate as to the fact that Trump gained at a minimum 10 million more votes in 2020 than he did in 2016. Strange.

20 million more people voted this election than voted in any other election. Biden also got over 10 million more votes than Hillary did.

I find these "autopsy reports" quite silly.
A quick glance at the results shows that trump barely lost any support compared to 2016, except at the margins. (which is where it matters I guess)
If 20,000 total across 4 swing states swithced from biden to trump, trump would have been reelected.

That's fine, I don't question the overall increase in voting. My point is that it's difficult to believe that a 10+ million vote jump in just 4 years and "hemorrhaging votes" from any group can reasonably coexist with each other.

Could be that more people in red states voted for him than in 2016, that could make his total votes go up and not help him in the electoral college. I think he gained votes in the deep red states due to more people voting but lost some in the swing states from what this report shows.

It's pretty obvious you are pretty left wing.
Why do you feel the need to claim (falsely) that you are a republican?

What is this supposed to mean, ever heard of population density? There are a ton of counties in red states with only a few hundred to a few thousand people, Trump won most of them . There are counties in deep blue states with millions of people, LA county 11 million, Cook county 5 million, New York county 4 million, Biden won them all , even if Biden lost a county he still picks up votes. Texas is a good example Biden won 22 counties, Trump won 232 , Trump received 5.8 million votes, Biden received 5.2 million. It’s a simple concept that some people don’t want to accept.

I would've voted for a more moderate republican over Hillary for sure. I vote Republican or Democrat based on the candidate more than anything. I voted for Kay Ivey and she is a republican. I don't identify as a liberal at all, I would say I am a right leaning moderate.
