Rep. Ilhan Omar called for a new tax on stock trades after a battle between an army of amateur investors and hedge funds caused a dramatic swing in the share price of GameStop and other heavily shorted companies, shaking Wall Street.

A small tax - 0.1% - on each Wall Street trade would reduce high frequency trading, a practice which drains profits from retail investors and benefits only the very rich.
We could use the close to $1 trillion it would generate to cancel all student debt and make college free.

I firmly believe Omar is a jihadist sleeper agent. And I’m not a conspiracy theorist.

I wouldn't mind it if it went exclusively to pay off our national debt. They would find a way to steal it no matter what it was supposed to go to though. So it's a bad idea.

Theft is theft. Whether a penny or a pound.

Justifying a crime doesn’t change the fact that it’s a crime.
You know what else we could do to generate enough money to cancel student loan debt snd make college free? End all other entitlement programs.
You know how we can immediately generate 100,000,000 per year? End congressional salaries.
I am 100% against new taxes and new entitlement programs and new government spending. Our government has an enormous over bloated budget.

They would just borrow money to pay for what they really want to use the money for, then pay off that debt with the new tax plus interest.

She's pretty damn open to be a 'sleeper' agent. I think she was recruited to be one, but at this point, there's no reason for her to hide - ANYTHING.
She married her brother, and then has married her campaign consultant, Tim Mynett ...

She should have pushed her brother out of her bed . Now she should be paying a hefty fine for the criminal activities she plays in sending her newest husband her fund money

Levying a tax isn't a crime
You'd be better off debating the pros/cons of such a tax

This is just a foot in the door. They would not stop there.
They already tax every profit that anyone or any entity makes in gains in the stock market. It's not like an untaxed wild west full of moonshine stills and whore houses. All of that money was taxed before it was invested and gets taxed after the gains are taken. This is just a way to leach more money during the process.

its actually .5% for stock trades she wants. now we are taxing a transaction that will be taxed later... seems on par for the Left

Assuming market behavior remains the same after you place a tax on a particular action.
Definition of retarded.

You would be better off not giving advice to people who do not want it.
See? I just did it to you. You won't follow it so why bother?

Talk about an immediate crash in the market. Yeah, that would be absolutely great in a year when businesses have already suffered from government overreach and it's an economic recipe for disaster.
