Yeah frick me as I don’t know and adoption potential. But then again there’s always a bear and a bull thesis.
The (limited) analysts still see ABKA between $4-6. Not that analyst coverage is the crystal ball.. but the three analysts I see are all bullish on the price.

Trading ~1.5x 2023 sales
Also trading 25% below my average cost

$1.10 was an opportunity. I didn't take it.
Not concerned. Will revisit in a year.

If this thing has any legs at all this time next year it should be a bargain. I am thinking of grabbing a few more shares and just rolling the dice.

AKBA launched Vafseo in Germany and Austria earlier this month. It’s available in 37 countries thus far with the US approval.
$170M revenues from Auryxia and AKBA is parlaying those relationships into Vafseo contracts. AKBA expecting very modest revenue growth from that $170M for 2024, without any Vafseo revenues.
TDAPA designation wrapped up in Jan ‘25.
$42M cash that should carry the company’s op ex at least through 2025. Expenses clear as AKBA solely focused on launch and holding off taking pre-clinical assets into the clinic.
AKBA market cap $200M as of 6/21.

I think I might add soon as well.
Then completely ignore it for 6-12mos.

im going to grab another 1000 shares if it stays down below a buck. Looks like some directors are acquiring shares, so maybe I take a little bit more of a position. That woudl give me. 3500 or so. If it pops up to 3 bucks I will be happy as a clam.
I promised myself I would not do this type of chasing deal again, but this one seems to have an actual product

AKBA has market cap less than analysts’ expected revenue of ~$180M.
This bag is heavy.

Lovin' the second chance here. Incredible that FDA rejection sent it from $2.40 to .70 then down to .26 while approval also sends it to .80 and possibly lower.
Beautiful set up going into Q1 '25.

+65% move off of those 6/25 lows.
Still down but I bought 1/3rd of the position at that $0.85 mark.

I totally missed the big news last week.
Saw the big day but didn't know material news was driving it.
Akebia now owns full rights Vafseo after ending their licensing deal with Vifor. Nice!
Also listed an annuel price of 15.5k on the low end. Very affordable!
This thing really should kick arse next year.

that stretch was painful. Those adds at 1.99 hurt but average is still 1.19 in taxable account and .86 in 401k account. Should continue to climb but 2025 should be a great year.
