I'm hauling arse back to Arkansas for several reasons. One, my family is all there. Also, Arkansas is like 45th on the list of states anybody cares about or wants to frick with.
Then there's the fact that it's mostly red and full of patriots, more guns per-capita than 90% of the other states. We have the unique aspect of having rednecks in the south, west, east, and central areas; hillbillies in the north half; gangstas in Little Rock; and a mix of all of the above surrounding LR in the center.
It's also surrounded by southern red states on all sides but the north, and even Missouri would probably be on our side in this scenario.

There is about a 50 mile wide gauntlet across the middle of the state that has to be run to get to where I need to go and the river crossings don't make it easy.
Tip: If you ever have to bug-out on foot and the roads and highways are compromised with bandits, follow the railroad easements. Everywhere is close to a rail spur.
