I know a lot of idiots who voted for Biden not because of his policies but because Trump hurt their feelings and made them clutch their pearls.

Due to complete media manipulation. There is plenty of footage showing how the media spins reality to make a completely fake narrative. Many people refuse to pay attention.
Example:
No one competent could honestly watch a Trump administration press briefing and come away with the media was honest/professional and the Trump administration was hostile.
