This story was very easy to tune out at first. But when I actually stopped and read it. I realized it’s the most genius protest against the elites that’s ever been done.

Robin Hood traders started buying GameStop stock like crazy because it was heavily shorted. This squeezed shorts (hedge funds and other assholes) and has caused the stock price to “shoot to the moon.” It’s a giant f u to Wall Street and some people are making out very nicely non options and trades.

It should also be noted that GameStop is a company quickly becoming obsolete and going the way of blockbuster. So yeah the assholes on wallstreet have been shorting the frick out of it and this has been hilarious to watch. The age group of the subreddit probably has a soft spot of nostalgia for GameStop which adds to their drive.
Will be interesting to see who holds out longer. It will probably be Wall Street but they already made countless shorters suffer so they already won in my book.

Not really. They aren't trying to save gamestop. It's just the tool they are using to screw the short selling assholes by driving up the price, it could have been any company. It's just more entertaining because its a video game store.

It’s the ultimate f u to Wall Street manipulation. Pretty sure I read where they are wanting to regulate retail traders now because of things like this. That’s just a slap in the face and a get back in line attitude. I sincerely hope the little guys keep it up and push the stock price to $1k.

Shorting serves a purpose. It has shined a light on a lot of bad corporate behavior.
