I should hope not. This idea is beyond stupid.

Can someone point to an example of what he is talking about here in regards to anti-blackness at LSU?
Yeah look at the DC we just hired with zero experience

This is bullshite. LSU already offers an African American studies course. This wasn't about ensuring undergraduate access. It was about indoctrination.

Imagine scheduling classes, and this is the only Humanities course available.

This is some serious BS right here. They are not asking for a class to be available in which all students can "access".
They are asking for it to be a requirement.
Why do they lie?

Thanks god. Some sanity reigns.

Let's fight racism by creating more racism!
Glad that stupid proposal was defeated.

But...wait until the new list of building name removals is released. The “committee” studying this is compiling the list and proposals should be coming in the not too distant future. They have been “studying” the writings, speeches, etc. of various people who have their names on buildings. That is still full steam ahead.

There is no doubt that the AAAS proposal is one battle in a long-term war. The LSU administration (and the Board of Supervisors) has bought into the woke delusional "anti-racism" philosophy, and there will be more issues that will be coming up. I have been concerned about LSU hiring guidelines, which are racially discriminatory. But there is no doubt that the LSU administration and other "anti-racism" forces will be bringing up other issues in the future.

Maybe this will help towards the goal of not giving the keys to Tom Galligan. He and Stacia Haynie have been running LSU like LSU Shreveport.

This is right on target. I had high hopes for both of them, but collectively they have been a disaster in their leadership roles in the university. The LSU ship will not be righted until they are both gone.

You cannot force or make mandatory for anyone to take a specific course
It falls under humanities which most disciplines require a humanities course, but it does not have to be that specific course.
They already require various freshmen level courses that are mostly useless, which drives up the costs of attendance just to prop up shitty departments.
