Wrong ark. There’s a tribe in south Africa that has an old piece of wood that they claim is the ark.
The church in Ethiopia won’t even allow pictures of their ark.

I doubt the Ark is there. The existence of the Ark would be of huge significance to Christians and a source of proof for non Christians. Seems to me that a better use would be for the population to view the Ark as proof of the Bible accuracy.

Proof of what?

Ah, thanks.
I remembered seeing it on Discovery channel, but it might have been from the same fine folks who brought us Ancient Aliens. I wasn't watching too closely.

It would be easy to disprove. Just take the lid off. If your face doesn't melt, it's fake.

I seen several docs on those. They are incredible.
All mention the possible presence of the Ark.
There is no proof one way or the other, and the evidence I have seen says that the Templars possibly hid it there when they were being persecuted by a false pope or something or other.
Now that we have another false pope, I do find the timing interesting

Gotta be Knights Templar artifacts recovered from Jerusalem.
Pirates had not the expertise, time, nor manpower for the complexity of that system. Too much engineering, architecture, and construction knowledge require to execute what has been discovered already.
I have been following the Oak Island history since reading about it in the Readers Digest many decades ago. Intrigued with the complexity of that site.
I'm really interested in that project going on as the basis of the TV show = "curse of .-.-..-" The 'curse' part is hokey, but the few episodes I have watched seem to be legit in terms of their approach to solving the mystery. Have to overlook some of the hokey parts that are necessary to make a 'reality show' out of it - probably where he money comes from for the costs involved. The are spending millions of bucks with their methodology - somebody gotta be paying for that.
Hope something historically significant come from it.

Israel was sacked repeatedly by foreign powers over the history of the New Testament. My guess is that the Ark was carried off and dismantled for the gold coating. Probably tossed the ten commandments in a ditch somewhere.

It is indeed a real thing. Not sure if they have the real ark, but they believe they do, for sure.
I agree - I am a devotee of these ancient artifact stories - been watching the Science, Discovery, NG, History, etc channels for years to watch topics such as this.
Several independent documentaries have all followed the same trace to this spot in Ethiopia. It is fairly apparent that the people of the region are sincere.

Israel didn't exist then.

More likely that it never existed in the first place, but if it did this sounds most plausible. One of the first things an occupying force does is destroy the sacred signs of their subjects to assert the dominance and superiority of the conquering culture.

This seems super, undoubtedly legit.
Let's be fair... this church has been claiming to house the Ark for hundreds and hundreds of years.

Aksshuually, the Ark is probably an electromagnetic/nuclear energy device of some kind...

I have no reason to doubt its existence, so disagree about it existing in the first place. The first and second temples are fact. The second temple, destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD is fact, and astonishingly, archaeology has finally uncovered evidence that the reign of King David was actually happened.
My guess is it was the Babylonians that carried it off between the first temple and second temple eras.

And Islam has claimed Mudhammed was a good person for the entirety of its existence, but that doesn't make it right.

This is a really interesting read, there's more to it, but I can't find it right now.
Leads one to believe the Ark def. existed and was in fact a condenser of electricity.
Gizmodo article about engineering professor who examined the construction of the Ark based on Bible.
