IF true, they got to him. Idk what they threatened with, but clearly something significantly evil.
In the end the most brazen president we’ve had in a century, maybe ever, went out like a paper tiger. It doesn’t make much sense any other way than they got to him and he didn’t want to be JFK’d or worse with respect to his family.

If he doesn’t go to jail and they end up mostly leaving him alone in retirement I will be convinced he made a deal in the last few weeks to save himself
