Rouse’s co-owner crawfishes and apologizes like a bitch

I can’t believe it.
And the worst part.

Under fire for attending the "Stop the Steal" protest for former President Donald Trump earlier this month, Louisiana businessman Donald Rouse Sr., co-owner of the Rouses supermarket chain, told talk radio listeners Friday that maybe he should have listened to his son when he told him not to go to Washington, D.C.
The day turned violent when some attendees at the rally, encouraged by Trump to "fight like hell" against the election results that Congress was certifying, stormed the Capitol and forced members of Congress to take shelter. Five people, including a Capitol Police officer, died in the mayhem, and the House impeached Trump a week later on the charge of incitement of insurrection.
"I didn't go over there in support of Trump," Rouse said during the interview on WBOK 1230 AM, one of the city's longest-running Black-owned radio stations. "I went over there to hear him speak. I went over there ... for history in the making, I guess I would say." Rouse reiterated that he left before the violence started and did not go the Capitol.
And the worst part.

He was one of the few wearing a mask, which he said made him feel "a little bit out of place." "I had very poor judgment," he said. "I (would) absolutely take it back right now if I could." He continued: "I didn't even understand what insurrection meant until recently."

He just wants the crazies to call of the dogs. but they won't until all of his stores are closed!

Did he learn nothing from Drew Brees?
Posted on 1/22/21 at 2:58 pm to jbgleason
Did he really think people thought he was trying to overthrow the government?

Whatever was going to happen to him if he didn't apologize is still going to happen after his apology. Now he just looks like a spineless bitch on top of it.

He and Brees must be besties. I and others won’t be going out of way to shop there so he loses on both ends because those offended by his rally attendance will never forgive him.

why do people do this to themselves?
Yes you most certainly did. Don't pull a Drew Brees and back down just because of some angry morons online.

frick Rouses, I’ll be shopping at Winn Dixie.

Why do these morons continue to apologize? It doesn’t help, the mob will never be appeased and they will just continue to push and push.
So frustrating

He sure as hell got that.

The Left thinks they have pressure to shut down our businesses so they yell loudly and people succumb to said pressure. We need to collectively start boycotting their businesses, but (sadly) we won’t.

They think that caving to these people will placate them when, as we all know, it emboldens them because they see weakness.

Exactly. The mob senses weakness and will now attack harder to get what they want.
If you tell them to go frick themselves they move on to someone else. Plus you pick up a lot of new fans in the process.

Yep, and I had made it a point to spend more at Rouses on account of it originally. That goodwill is no longer. I will still go for things I can only get from them or know they have the best price on, but won't be going out of my way anymore.
TLDR,
