Doc told me to take one. So I have this cpap machine for two weeks. Have to turn in chip. After three nights, a couple of observations.

Didn't need my usual afternoon nap yesterday.

Mouth wasnt dried out when I woke up. Guess I was breathing through my mouth as I slept.

One night I got up around 3 and was groggy as hell. I've always been a light sleeper and never felt like this when I awoke in middle of night.

Is this normal?

You’ll wake up groggy for a bit until your body acclimated to finally getting deep sleep. It’s a good thing.

CPAP has been great for me as well as the wife(no more snoring). I’m not falling asleep in the afternoon anymore, which is nice. I use full face mask with EPAP relief cranked as that has been better for me than nasa only route. Can’t say enough about it really life changing.

Also I’m 6’2” broad shouldered 245lbs or so work out bench squat push-ups etc so in now way morbidly obese just got a dad pudge.

So instead of a sleep study they just have you use a cpap for a few weeks and I guess it does the study for you?

Have you had any issues getting to sleep because its uncomfortable or anything like that?

Never had one.

It takes a little getting used to, but it was life changing for me.

Last fall, we were without power for 36 hours due to Hurricane Zeta. Power went out around midnight, right as I was trying to get to sleep. No CPAP--No Sleep. I was so tired the next day that we checked into a local hotel when the power was not back by the evening of the next day.

I need to get a battery powered one.
