The My Pillow guy was trying to convince Trump to release the Pope from GITMO. Or allow him to fly to GITMO and smother the Pope with one of his pillows. Maybe Tom Hanks can help, and he'll get a reduced sentence.

But honestly I have no clue what the reason could be for his involvement.
Money maybe? He might have committed his entire fortune or some shite to fight this? Maybe some sort of spiritual type role since the guy definitely seems to now be a devout Christian?
I can’t think of any other possible reasons, and even with those two unlikely ones it still doesn’t make any sense.
