Mississippi Runs Out of COVID Vaccine

They opened the COVID vaccine to my category last night. This morning early I got on their scheduling app to make an appointment. I started out at #9,750 in the queue to schedule an appointment. After an hour, a message pops up and says “All doses of vaccine have been allocated...check back in February”.

Must be dreadful knowing you only have a 98% chance of survival IF you get it.

But LSUpride87 and Slackster said no one was taking the vaccine

Considering that everyone who is not vaccinated will eventually get the virus, those are pretty shitty odds.

Well they randomly change the rules on who can get the vaccine on a Monday afternoon and the. Even more people try to log on and crash the website
The rolllout has not been very smooth . Shocker.
I don’t think they thought so many would rush to get it so quickly . And weren’t prepared for the horde of people signing up

Are you old or particularly unhealthy? Because you'll likely be fine without it dude.

I’m not old, but do have some health issues that put me in the high-risk category...

Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and Zinc. 100% of your DV of each every single day and you'll be fine.

I don’t get this argument because most vaccinations we get are for illnesses that likely won’t kill you. For most people it’s avoid getting sick and to crate a herd immunity.

All you had to do was refresh your screen. I went from 4705 to zero in 5 min and got my wife signed up.
ETA, they are not out, they are all allocated through the end of the month.

They’ll get more soon.
A state actually administering all the doses they have is a good thing.

Agreed...I am actually pleased that people are so willing to take the vaccine....that tells me the end is in sight. I just hate that I have to wait a month.

This is a good problem to have. Vaccines need to be in arms not sitting on shelves. There's more on the way.
