You can still incite riots after they’ve begun. Incite does not mean start. Continuing to stir shite up and agitate a situation would count as incitement.
That aside, Trump didn’t do shite to incite anything. From what I recall, he actually tweeted for the demonstration to stop/remain peaceful, “we are the party of law and order.” Their entire claim is beyond idiotic, but reason and facts don’t matter to these people.

So, since the protestors in a whole different area had already breached the Capitol before Trump’s speech some distance away, he must have incited those protestors already in the Capitol telepathically?

This is stupid. He's got just days left. This won't help but further divide. Not enough time for it to go through to removal. Pelosi just wants to tag him with a second impeachment. So that will be his legacy.

The law that would be used in either criminal court or impeachment/Senate trial includes a very crucial term that must be proven as an independent element of the offense: "willfully" inciting etc etc. Definitely not an easy thing to prove in this case, if not impossible...if bias against Trump were to be completely avoided in said proceedings.

You have pathetic douchebags like Stephen Colbert selectively editing the speech and removing context. That is what the libtards on the Hill are running with. They don't care about context, they are simply scared of Trump running in 2024, and likely frightened of declassification.
I'll be highly disappointed if Trump doesn't declassify the Swamp.
