Is this legit? I didn’t do anything for it and haven’t clicked the link. Is this some kind of reward they give to people upon opening an account or something?

When btc goes to $1000000, you will have like $75!

It's like crack. The first hit is always free.

I just opened up Coinbase as well. I see Bitcoin. Don’t know much about it but I know it only goes parabolic. Tesla on steroids.
As for the rest of the shite:
dogecoin, litecoin, fakecoin, etc
I definitely don’t know what to do with it.
What should I invest in?

For awhile I tried to trade the other stuff, but it’s just too much work for me.
The best strategy for me in crypto has been to put in about $25 in Bitcoin every week and $25 in Ethereum every other week. $150 a month isn’t much to worry about. I don’t have to try to time the market or anything, but the market’s so volatile I think investing often helps average your cost.
I’d have earned like $30k-$40k more on crypto by now if I’d never messed with altcoins or tried to time anything.

Wtf is with them asking for my actual bank login information?
I don’t care how legit of a website you are, I’m not giving you that. They end up confirming your account a normal way after backing out of that option. I just thought that was really strange and couldn’t believe people would actually give that kind of info.

Yeah, I didn't like that either. Apparently, they use a company called Plaid that's owned by Visa. Plaid connects and enables transactions. That's how they do things I guess.

Coinbase is an fdic insured bank, no different if doing a wire transfer from chase to capital one and giving your account info. CB just allows the buying of crypto

I’ve never given my login information for any wire transfer.
Like I said though, if you back out of that option they give you a better option of giving them the routing number and account number. Then you confirm two deposits they make. Think it just takes longer which I’m fine with. This option is normal to me. The other is not.

That would be Plaid, not Coinbase. I have had no problem with it with Venmo. I’m guessing you can ask to manually connect your bank via the deposit pennies method.

thats actually the way it used to be with the deposits. But yea a ton of new places use the plaid option that essentially uses the log in to move the money.
