I agree that it was dumb to announce it to the public on the radio. If you swing and miss, you look like a fool.
What really bothers me is the LSU admin's inability to keep information in house. We've all seen this song and dance before (i.e. Herman, Jimbo). Everything is leaked at LSU and makes us look "left at the altar" most of the time.

The rumors leaked that the deal was done is the issue. Leaked information can be dangerous, as shown in this instance.

That's just part of coaching. All coaches know they are hired to be fired. They all know that one day things may go south, so they are just grateful to be given any coaching opportunity. They know they will be given a very good salary and if they can show success that more money is on the way. First, second or third means nothing to coaches. It's about opportunity!

Judas priest yall gotta be kidding me. So hecause O identified freeman as a priority it makes him look bad that freeman chose nd??? Wtf. Of course he was our 1st choice and most knew that regardless BECAUSE WE INTERVIEWED HIM FIRST MORONS! But newsflash he isnt the only good dc out there. This is no different than recruiting.
