Last year, the one team I didn't think we could beat was West Virginia with the true spread offense. Arkansas proved that, even though not a true spread, LSU would have a hard time defending against a team with a running quarterback. I think Appy State is going to give LSU a game, even though we clearly have superior talent. I just think it is very hard to defend an offense with a quarterback who is as fast as a running back.

God no, even espn picked us to win 35-7 and they hate us. Our defense is going to give up a touchdown when we have our second team in.

Er yes, I am extremely concerned that we will not be able to perform a 'wofford' and shut AE down

ETA: Oh wait, even Ole Piss is more talented...!

We've had 8 months to prepare for Appy States offense.

Really worried? No.

Worried? Yes. But only because I worry about every game.

Miles has proven to be very good given time to prepare.

Where to start?
First Mcfadden beat us, not a running QB, not a spread
Second we beat UF, who's QB'd by a running QB, who runs a spread
Third WV choked against Pitt
Fourth WV would've got their shite kicked in had we played
Fifth you're comparing App St to WV, apples and oranges when it comes to talent levels

You realize there is an offense and a defense correct? App St has one of the worst defenses in 1-AA but you think they can stop us? They'll probably score 14-21 points, but I really believe we'll be in the 42-49 range. Stop worrying because you have about as good a chance at winning the lottery as App does of beating us after they've already knocked off Michigan.

I'm very worried about Appy State. Some of their kids could really get hurt out there.

I think it could be a close, entertaining first half but App will get tired and worn down in the second. I think our defense has improved over last year but LSU should still be able to run well on us.

A couple of LSU turn overs could make the game really fun!

AE might not have a 200 yrd day running but he will make you say "wow" at least once.

As long as we don't turn the ball over and play decent I think we will start to pull away in the second half.

To be fair we were pretty banged up at the time. And as some posters have stated we faced other good spread offenses.

I guess I'm just a worrier, that's why my friends call me whiskers.
