Approach to evaluating and recruiting coaches

Has anyone from the media (radio included), asked Ed what his approach is today and how that approach has been influenced by the hires that didn't work out?
If you have a successful staff, you will have a steady stream of turnover - for the right reasons - every year and the monies being paid out for the mistakes will be minimal. Therefore, understanding the profile of those that were a success and recruited away vs.those that were not is extraordinarily important.
Sometimes the head man is not the best at evaluating and/or lets emotion and a personal connection override the red flags that might exist with the candidates performance and trajectory. If they are aware of that shortcoming, then they should have someone on their staff who is good at evaluation, maintains a list of potential candidates, and keeps in touch with them. Does Ed have someone filling that role for him now?

I am Slightly concerned that O’s main concern on offense seems to be continuity
I understand it. We have an amazing offense in 2019. So I really do get it, and if we could keep that going it’s great.
My concerns are
1. that we’re maybe putting continuity over quality, and
2. As personal changes we need to be able to adapt the offense. For instance: they keep saying we had 1 RB run play in 2019 l, inside zone.
And that works when Joe is shredding defenses through the air and you have a guy like CEH who is strong through contact, and is great at reading blocks.
But when you don’t have that, you need more creativity in the run game.

We just rehired Austin Thomas as GM. I think you have your answer.
