I have yet to see anyone against Freeman or calling it a lazy hire. You just want to paint a brush of an unreasonable fan base, but in reality coach O has failed at his hires far more than succeded.

It’s been said he doesn’t call the defense, he hasn’t been a dc for long or he will only be here for 1 year.

Pretty sure everyone is on board with freeman. Rightfully so people have issues with Chad Morris, mason and Harrell.

So you expect everyone to agree on the hire? You want no one to have concerns?
What the hell is wrong with some of you? Wanting a hire to be done well and with legitimate thought rather than rushed as O has nearly always done is now purely just O hate.

Also, what does it matter if some think it is taking too long? Do fans dictate Ed’s decisions that much? You think Tennessee is not regretting letting Clay Travis and their fans push away Schiano?

Of the 4 names I’ve seen I think most would be cool with Nielson, Freeman, or Brad White. I think when O is determined to switch to a 4-3 and builds the personell around it he should get some criticism if he now wants to bring in a 2-gap 3-4 guy who hasn’t called a D in 7 years.

Yeah, hire Brad White for DC, and promote Callaway to OC and call it done. Bring back Munoz or promote somebody from within to PGC.

For a guy who needs tacticians for coordinators he sure seems to value personality over schematic and personell fit. What’s frustrating is his broad stroke over corrections. The 4-3/4-2-5 is good, just needs more flexibility with the secondary. Our offense is good just needs a little more creativity and aggressive play calling. Why would he bring in an exclusively Air Raid guy when that’s never worked in the SEC. because he’s from USC, c‘mon man!!!

Freeman seems to be the overall choice as DC and I think your going to get mixed results in on OC as long as Calloway is in the picture somewhere.
