I’m in North Alabama and I have AT&T cell service which is working fine. However my home internet service has been down since about 12:00 PM. When I checked my service provider’s Facebook page I found a post there saying the blast in Nashville was causing widespread network outage across North Alabama. No idea when it will be back up.

I'm right the opposite. My Uverse is fine, but my mobile is down.

You must be on that government stingray service. Better turn that phone off.

I don’t know what that is. My phone is provided by my company. I pay $15 a month to also use it as my personal phone. I have unlimited data so no need to turn it off. I do thank you for your concern though.

That switch in Nashville is one of the major switch locations for the south. Those Central Offices are made to withstand bombs tornadoes and flooding. Looks like the Disaster Recovery plan has failed. Also remember ATT is largest provider of Internet and Data services in the world.

AT&T Fiber is working in BR. Just tried my wife's cell phone and got a recording, then tried again and the call went through.

I just tried calling someone with AT&T wireless 985, call did not go through. A local landline call 985 too worked.
