5:15 here. My son’s 7 now, so I told him he had to get back in bed and wait until sunrise. Snuck in a little more sleep.

Now to put together a trampoline in the freezing temps.

Santa dropped one off at my house too.

I have to put it together. Probably Sunday. Maybe next week. I have construction starting Monday so now might not be a good time to put it together in the back.

Melatonin works wonders. Ours didn't break down the bedroom door until 7:30

Mine are 31 and 27. On Christmas Eve we drink win, open presents and watch Christmas movies. Christmas morning is for sleep in our house now.

I’d be ok at that part of parenthood. 6:30 is sleeping in for me. I was like that even before I became a working stiff.

My kid always wakes up early. This morning I didn't mind. It was so freaking cute when he walked in the room poking me saying come see the tunnel system Santa brought him that was set up in the living room.

Wait until they are teenagers...you'll need dynamite to get them out of bed.

We're out west so everybody is up early. I've been here a week now and seen all but two sunrises. Also, the bobcats and Mexican Wolf (very rare and endagnered) have been a total treat. More wildlife than I care to count.

Too bad I can't shoot the javelinas. I've been told they're off limits.

My 8 year old was up at 5:50 inspecting the chimney. Honestly was cool with as I know we probably have a year or so more of him truly believing.

There was a "stay in your room until 8am" rule at my house when I was a kid.

If you are still asleep at 1 pm on Christmas then the day literally means nothing to you.

Think I got all of y’all beat. One kid stayed up in bed late had to wait that one out took until about 11:00 pm for him to fall asleep. About 1:00 am another wakes up and comes to the bed covered in puke. Me and Ms. ChE get everything cleaned up and little buddy threw up a few more times until 3:30 ish and fell asleep. Everyone back awake about 6:00 am going nuts for all the toys. Kids are tough and a ton of work but the smile one their faces this morning was worth it all.

I kinda miss those days. But we followed one rule.. had to be within legal hunting hours. That's one thing my oldest boys could figure out with no issue. No earlier than 30 mins before sunrise.

Consider yourself blessed. Many people out there wishing they had kids, and you’re bitching about them waking up early. LSUCoyote would take this “problem”,
