Especially in the food and service industry.

Making your pizza and burgers.

And employers know it... either they say: get your shift covered or come in... small front line managers don't want to deal with it.

1) How do you know this is true?

2) Can you catch covid from cooked food?

When it’s lie or don’t get paid, it’s a tough call.

People would rather go to work with the sniffles than not be able to pay their mortgage and feed their kids.

Tune in at 9PM to hear more of this breaking story

Well no shite

The food/service/retail industry has conditioned employees over the decades that if you call in sick to work you’re a horrible person who is going to get fired your next shift. The fricking guilt trip they give you when you call in.

Good. They have been going to work with illness for 4,000 years. Don't like it, get a wife who cooks for you.

No, that originated with the open mouth soy boys calling them "chicky tendies".

My manager is sick now.

Yesterday I picked up My jeep from the shop. Shop owners is sick awaiting test results. Shop has 10 employees... I asked him about it. His quote. Somebody got to fix these cars.

My pt office girl told me her son diagnosed with covid and his employer said come in... he dilievers pizza... she just became negative.

If you think these people are missing work after being unemployed during shutdowns, and now limited capacity..

I have some ocean front property in Kansas for sale... cheap.

Well yeah. They have bills to pay and need to put food on their own tables. Missing a week or 2 of work while feeling mild symptoms probably wouldn't have been such a big deal if the government hadn't kept them from being able to work for much of the year. Can't exactly work remotely in those industries and PTO doesn't save them since most of their income is tips
