Who the Frick buys fish when you live on a place like that...

That Land Rover would break down, you'd end up walking, your water would boil, the pot will go dry, the house will catch on fire and burn to the ground, the store will be out of bread, and to top it all off, there won't be a Land Rover mechanic on the island.

If you live on an island that small, what is the need for insurance unless the government requires it.
Learned my lesson about the greedy claws the government has with auto insurance in Louisiana this week. I came across an issue with State Farm when they canceled me for one day because I did not resolve a payment issue quick enough. So they told me I should get a notice from that my insurance lapsed and I will owe the state 125 dollars per vehicle for letting my insurance lapse for a few hours.
My argument with the agent was that they posted a due date online that was the same day as the expiration at midnight. So even though I paid it on the new due date, they canceled it at 12:01 the day it was due.
