Better than Boutte? A 14 catch, 300 yard game in driving rain takes a fair amount of athleticism itself.

Feels like Coach O will have his hands full with this. Feels like there is gunna be a lot of teams that come calling.

Worth noting that Boutte did that as a true freshman too.

Very strong class next year at a lot of positions other than our usual RB, DB, and WR inventory

I thought jojo earle would be that player but alabama had other plans

We have to wait a year, but Anderson is that guy.

And the comment about Boutte misses the point. Boutte, Chase, and Jefferson were all great, but they are not the KIND of WR that Jojo Earle is.

Yep and sounds like it’s an LSU bama battle.

The 3 kids from LCA are very good. Expect Fitzgerald West to be a guard

No it’s not

Will go down like Maason Smith. Will want to take trips and say he’s open to everyone but in reality he’s already made up his mind.

That’s one hell of a selling point to these recruits. You know at least one of the incoming freshman WRs will be heavily utilized next season, as well.

hard to believe Demond Demas ended the year with 0 catches.

I think this depends heavily on whether Racey McMath returns or not. Seems like Boutte and Moore were pretty locked in towards the end of the season, but beating out McMath, Palmer, and Jenkins would be no small task.

I don’t know what you’re asking. I think the world of Boutte. If he develops more mental toughness he could be like Steve Smith. Keep doing everything else but stop dropping passes and celebrating before the play is over.

I have only been following recruiting for a little over a year now, but how many in state recruits does the board think LSU is looking to sign next year? It looks like it could be as many as 12-14 depending on staff analysis. Is that realistic/common?

Generally, LSU does no look much past the top 15...20 at best. This year, they signed 8 of the top 15. In 2020, they signed just 4 of the top 11 plus Finley at 21. In 2019, LSU signed 8 of the top 10, but also signed the #18 and #23 players.

So, you see the trend...top 15 players are the targets. LSU will get somewhere between a low of 5 or a high of 10 of those 15.

I think we get 9 of the top 15.
1. QB W Howard
2. OT W Campbell
3. S Preston
4. J Mathews
5. K Law
6. L Moss
13. S Washington
14. A Anderson
15. D Crawford

But it's a looong way out.

Any reason why you don’t see Emery Jones making this class? I know I have heard his name mentioned in this board before.

Like they do every year?

Van Pran is probably the only guy since the transition year that O has lost from LA that we really wanted and needed

Christian Harris was a bad eval by Aranda

We need Campbell, Jones, the 3* OT from Nola that has offers from a bunch of Sec schools and Bo Bordelon

Also need ot sign Tapp, Welch, and Tygee Hill

Green, Fitz, and Allen from LCA could earn offers
plus Gilmore and Edwards - 2 instate LBs could be camp offers

Bo Bordelon

Given his ties to the program, I could definitely see him getting in the class.
