So been wanting some custom boots for awhile now and deciding to pull the trigger. Was thinking of just going through Lucchese but since I am in Houston a lot for work figured I might check into some place here.

Any recommendations for places to look into and a ballpark price.

Customs can range drastically in price and I am not OT baller yet so looking to stay on the lower end.

TIA

I use a place on Irvington called Western Hat Designs Rey De Reyes. Makes some fine hats and boots, great people too.

For a second I thought someone was asking for custom “boobs” recommendations.

Not off the top of my head... but I remember it being reasonable.

They had a bunch of boots right on the shelf, but would custom make some if needed. I seem to recall a wide range of prices.

They should be open in the morning, give them a call. The taqueria next door is legit if you want to take a ride out.

I have heard good things about Republic but never been myself so can’t help on price etc. If you end up going somewhere bump this as I’m interested to know

Tejas or Maids’s...what’s your price range? If you’re not willing to part with at least 800-1000 for a pair of boots that have been customized...or bespoke to your wishes($$$$$)....save your money or just buy a nice pair of JB Hill or Leddy’s or whatever name your think will impress someone.

Get a nice pair of Ariats. You don’t need LSU sewn into your damn shoes man.

The two you named are doing true custom for $1000? That's cheap as hell. I would like to stay around 2k.

This is one of those, if you have to ask you cannot afford.

Look at Cuero Boots. They are the Tecovas of Houston.
