That sir is the perfect description of Ascension Parish since about 1990 when the white flight from EBR flooded the area and the locals were too greedy to limit the amount of development before the proper infrastructure was in place.

Maybe the perp caught some baw trying to steal his milk crate from under the oak tree with BLM spray painted on the big limb

Some fella was murdered when it was Lil Pals in the 90s and Fish Dog got shot by the oak tree in. The late 90s

I know the environment you mean, but how would the "proper infrastructure" have gotten rid of the "trash".
Does infrastructure mean something that I don't realize?

That “hood” ain’t more than a handful of houses and trailers. Would think all it would take is a couple foreclosures and evictions lol

are you referring to the oak tree across the street on the corner with smoothie king and Dutchtown pharmacy?

Interesting take, but I think you’re wrong.

That has been nothing but ghetto right there ever since I can remember and I’m 51.
It's gone down hill since Lewis & Peter Long died. Especially Peter. He would get drunk and keep people straight around there.

They finally tore down the Black Knights MC building a couple weeks ago. Honestly the ones from right there I went to school with were good guys. Plenty of trash around the area though.

Yes, last week a house across the street had 20 plus shots fired at.
Schools didn’t notify us either of incident.
What happens on Deck stays on Deck. These people today are from Deck Drive and using our tax dollars to shop at Harvest. I went to Walmart today b/c Harvest is too expensive.

Harvest is high, but I do like supporting local. Plus, they don’t enforce mask policy so that is a plus in my book.
I also gander over to Lamendola’s and Rouse’s as well.

Nah. That was all out here(73@74) before people with money moved out here. The Deck Drive trailer hoods and the shitholes further down 73 have been here since the 80s and before. The only nice street near this intersection back then was Twin Oaks. And it was "way out in the country" as late as 2000. I actually know this b/c we drove out here and those houses were too expensive in the low 200s(our budget was $120k) and none for sale.

I go to Lamendolas often. They are good people there.
But the Cheap arse Meat we buy, Land O Frost, is almost $3 more at Harvest than Walmart. I can't do that until my kids are older.
