I’m aware of his opt out, I’m also aware he hasn’t announced he’s transferring... say what you want as far as wanting him back or not, but he’s currently supporting LSU and his LSU teammates on his Instagram story. That could be a great sign on next season with him possibly returning.

Arik is a great young man, and he’s just a young man. He’s got a bright future at LSU or somewhere else.
We are all frustrated with this season and I’m sure he is too.
We need to give him a break and not judge based on the decision of an 18 year old in the spur of the moment.
He’s gonna be alright.

Seems Guillory has had it bad with injuries this season and Roy looks like a future stud. We get those recruits we're wanting and the D-line should be a force, right?

He would NOT be the first elite ballplayer to become extremely depressed in his Freshman year of football
And he would NOT be the first to return to the team an ball out.
Needs a little home cookin and a few months away from the program. Odds are, he'll be just fine.

Well I agree but with all the stuff the NCAA has already allowed with the COVID-19 opt outs, transfers, etc. I am sure if Marcel said he wanted to go back to Dallas-Fort Worth to be near family last spring due to "COVID-19" and now that vaccines are going to be distributed and current estimates are that by May, 70% of the USA population could have it, he feels comfortable returning back to LSU what is the NCAA going to say.
Yes I think COVID-19 is serious and yes I am glad we had football as well, but given the NCAA has been making every decision since last March with COVID-19 in mind, seems to me Marcel can take advantage of that and if he wants back in, he might have a shot.
