Burris Fullfield II is the best buy in that price range by far. Great warranty and glass thats better than the comparable Vortex and Leupold models.

Leupold Rifleman is missing from your list and should be the only cheap option considered. I like vortex but made in China is an absolute dealbreaker.

Tasco has been around for ever. I have an $85 Tasoc 3 x 9 x 50 on my 270. Awesome scope !

I would go to your local sporting goods store and take a look through them in the evening and see which one you like best. Not sure about big box, but any local sporting goods store will likely let you take them outside to test.

i have 5.... Nikon prostaffs brand new and over 10 years old... had zero issues!
I have a Nikon on my current rifle and want to get another one. I like the BDC rectile and want each rifle to have the same glass to limit operator error.
Should I be worried about buying Nikon off Amazon? I know they are getting out of the scope business. Is there a counterfeit market for these like everything else?
Where are some good sites for Nikon scopes?

My nephew has a Nikon Black fx1000 on an AR that my brother bought a few years ago.
The vertical turret went out on it and he’s basically screwed.
The likelyhood that something happens is low, but it isn’t zero.

Check out Blackhound Optics. There are some reviews on YouTube as well.

Burris FF II is BY FAR the best option in that range. I have scads of Leupolds, several Swarovski, and a couple Kahles. I sometimes wonder why I bother spending more money than the FF II costs. It pretty much does anything you need a scope to do and it is exceptionally tough. Burris is one of those companies that rates every single one of its scopes for spring piston airguns.

The Leupold Freedom line is a good value.

Y'all love spending other people's money lol
Those 3 scopes are better than anything made 20 years ago and will serve any Hunter to the fullest.
