Good Thing Recruits Commit to the School and Not the Fans

LSU had a freshman opt out of the rest of the season for personal reasons. No one else is opting out:
But that singular event is enough to bring out LSU's vocal minority. A motley mob of morons composed of Bama imposters, Orgeron haters, catastrophe cranks, and MAGA virtue signalers.
Some people just want to watch the world burn.
The season has sucked for a variety of reasons stated ad nauseum on this board: loss of 2019 talent, new coordinators with new schemes, no Spring football to develop young talent and learn new schemes, loss of a starting QB and having to rely on freshmen QBs, etc.
This too shall pass. The season will end in ten days.
Next year, we will have Brennan back, Spring football. a better offensive line, and a much more experienced team.
LSU's commitment to excellence in football will continue.

Starting center Liam Shanahan told reporters Tuesday he didn't know of anybody else on the team who is considering leaving.
"We're still in the season," Shanahan said. "Obviously, it hasn't been a great season by any means. But it's not over yet. The guys that are still here, we're still working hard to do everything on the most positive note possible."

What's you're prediction for next year given what you laid out?
And you're saying you think they'll be no more transfers/opt outs?

Then frick em.
You are starting to see what type of buy in we get from guys we have to beg to come here. They bail with the blow of the wind. Live by the stroked ego, die by the stroked ego.
You can go fluff these dudes all you want. I wont.

I think my favorite meme of message board posting is that the fanbase you're a part of is somehow the only one that has crazy things discussed.
There was talk amongst Bama fans of Saban being done after the lost to Hugh Freeze two years in a row. Hell, some questioned him after losing to us and Auburn last year.
Every fanbase is like this. We are not unique. You only know how crazy we are because you're a part of it.

It's just a very LOUD minority that posts here a lot when things get tough.

NO, they're usually worse. People cover their arse when they think they can; hiding problems they create. This is why hidden and secret problems exist. Problems perceived not to exist tend to only get fixed accidentally.

I get that you think you’re the smartest person on the board even though you’re a total fricking idiot, but your argument is completely invalidated by the fact that everything about it was revealed as false from game 1 of this season.
We sucked when we had Brennan. Everyone else went through COVID and their programs didn’t collapse. Alabama had a ton of draftees and their program didn’t collapse. Teams had new coordinators and they didn’t give up the most PPG since 1893.
Everything about your argument is stupid, illlogical, mindless sunshine pumping and our “commitment to excellence” died when Ed Orgeron was allowed to bring in Bo Pelini and Scott Linehan en route to going 3-7 this year.
And this is coming from one of the most vocal O supporters from Day 1. The guy is doing everything wrong and will continue piledriving our program head first into the ground until he’s fired and I don’t understand how stupid and clueless you have to be to not see that

Look at all of your shining virtue.

Exactly Right why commit to them, if they don't commit to us?

What does this have to do with anything?
It's funny that you italicized this to appear intellectual, and yet you misspelled it.

OP thought Jordan Jefferson was a good QB, so he's really not worth much time

Players who come here to play football know there's immense pressure and expectations. They fully understand this. They're elite athletes - they're not snowflakes.
If they want to play football without the pressure and criticism, there are literally hundreds of non-Power 5, FCS, D-II, and D-III schools they could go to.
I can't imagine a single player deciding to not sign with LSU because of comments on a fan message board. And if that actually is true, we probably don't need a guy who's that mentally weak.

If you think, at this point, that it’s JUST about:
...then I don’t know what to tell you.

The OP post is just one big virtue signal. Incredibly self unaware.
