Joe Burrow has been the starting QB for O in half of his seasons at LSU. He also was the one who went out and got Burrow.

I will never understand the “well if you take this part out” argument. The fact is those parts are in there and they count. You are basically saying “If you take all the good things he has done he has never done anything good”

I just don’t get the point of having to degrade O getting Burrow to be his QB and having the best football team in the sports history.

I like O but this season has been a disaster and if they fired him I would understand. He has done plenty wrong to complain about why do we have to take away the one good thing he has done?

Man we have some fricking miserable fans. I enjoy LSU football but damn we are hitting a rough stretch here i get it IT SUCKS but dammit lets enjoy our past. News we won a national championship last year and you know what we will be ok. For LSU fans pre 2000 we won 1 national in 1958 and it took 42 fricking years to win another one. Live your lives folks its going to be ok.

Was that 2016 running game not put together by Miles?

Sure didn’t look much like the one we’ve got in year 4.5 of O did it?

Actually that was coach Busch.

Without Brady, Belichick would have a weird record and not be allowed to dress like a slob. But he did and does.

Sure Coach O had absolutely nothing to do with recruiting Joe Burrow. Guess all he said about LSU and O at the Heisman program was a lie.

Didn't say that. But Burrow was on O's radar because of Busch and Busch was the main recruiter. That's a quote from O btw.

you keep stating this. Yes O had Busch recruit him but no where does it say Busch brought the idea of bringing JB in. JB always mentions how great his recruitment was with O.

You act as if that one quote I gave you is all that there is that is known. Go cry about Aranda some more.

Since you seem incapable of following this program and how things happen, LINK

quote:

Did LSU find Burrow, or did Burrow find LSU?

"You know, I think they found me," said Burrow, immediately pointing to the way Busch sold him to LSU head coach Ed Orgeron. "Coach Busch stood on the table for me with Coach 'O.' He was like, 'If we get this guy, we're going to win the national championship.'"
quote:

He just had to sell it to Orgeron. But Busch credits both Orgeron and LSU offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger for being open-minded about Burrow.
quote:

Ultimately, Busch's strong Nebraska background played a lead role in helping lure Burrow to LSU. Dan Burrow, one of Joe's older brothers, played for Busch at Nebraska. Plus, it helped matters that Dan went on to live and work in Houston, just four hours from LSU. Yes, of course, Busch worked that angle hard. What's more, Busch has known former Nebraska graduate assistant Jimmy Burrow, the father, for 20-some years, although the two have never coached together.

"If you've been at Nebraska, you kind of know everybody, and I got to know Bill at some (coaching) conventions," Jimmy Burrow says. "So, when we went to decide who Joe was interested in, Bill was somebody I considered a friend — and knew we could trust."

You can't leave out the Ohio State angle. Busch spent the 2015 season as a Buckeyes quality control assistant as Joe Burrow worked through his redshirt season. Burrow ultimately played two years behind starter J.T. Barrett. After Barrett moved on, Burrow lost his bid to become starter to Dwayne Haskins and decided to transfer. The rest, as they say, is history — incredible history, considering Burrow completed 76.3% of his passes last season for 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns with only six interceptions.

While I appreciate the hard work of looking this info up, but you must have missed simple logic in school.

1. Ed Ogeron can't control who he plays in the regular season. (Can only control what we control). He can only beat the teams that are on his schedule. That would be like criticizing Mike Tomlin this year because they were undefeated but only beat one team with a good QB.

2. Ed was still the head coach and responsible for getting and developing Joe Burrow. So how do you simply ignore that part.

3. I am not defending Coach O for this season as he reaps what he sews, but you cant just ignore and hide that he helped build a championship program, but is also responsible for its demise in one years time.

4. I would love to see these types of stats for Sean Payton without Drew Brees or Bellichek without Brady, but even then Coach O's sample size is too small.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

you weren't quoting me, but....

LF7 broke the rushing record against Ole Miss by running the toss dive (a play that is almost universally the most hated Les Miles play in the book).

Politics doesn't need to be honest and fair. Just post a lie, repeat it often, most are too dumb or lazy to find the truth. Herd mentality will reinforce the message.

ElevenWarriors.com

quote:

"He called me because he heard that Joe Burrow was transferring so he called me and said 'Dad you gotta get this quarterback,'" Orgeron recalled on a Tuesday morning interview of Off the Bench. "So I asked (safeties coach) Bill Busch—who had been at Ohio State—I said 'Bill do you know a guy named Joe Burrow?'"

"Here's what Bill Busch told me, he said 'coach if we get Joe Burrow we're going to the College Football Playoffs,'" Orgeron said. "I said well let's go get him."

O had no clue who the hell Joe Burrow was.

If O is so bad why would Busch tell JB to come to LSU?

sometimes it's the entire marriage, and just one or the other.

Brees without Payton and maybe neither one of them amounts to shite?
same with Brady and Bellichik

difference between those guys is you can keep them for 15+years in the NFL, so who even cares how you look without them?

in college you get a guy for a MAX of 4 years.and if he's special, you ain't keeping him that long. so hell yeah it matters how you do when you don't have that guy.
