Those are kind of 'worst case scenario' numbers. Nothing is ever as good or as bad as it seems at first.
IMO, he's over-reacting but maybe not by a whole bunch.

To be fair he said his numbers are probably off by a little.

Holy frick. That will take years to recover from, if at all.

No huge loss tbh

Kardell for what he is would be no huge loss. Kardell for what he was supposed to be has been a huge loss. Top 100 player, Top 5 Guard. We needed him to contribute in the worst way.

Agreed. We would need him if he met expectations but he just doesn’t have it in college. Not willing to put in the work to be an SEC caliber player

Before Thomas signed there were rumblings that he was overrated. The same with Sopsher. These HS ratings can really hurt a kid. Some don’t really understand, just because you are rated high doesn’t mean squat in college. You still have to train hard, get in top shape, do the right things and beat out other good athletes.

Don’t know if the original quote is phrased properly.

Hanny said, “This is just a guess, but looking at the roster I can only be confident in 45 or so returning. There are 13 or so that he would “guess” are considering their future.”

He also added that if he made that list yesterday that Arik Gilbert would have been in the coming back for sure camp. So he added that he was just trying to come up with a number for returning players.

Hester just isn’t that guy, though. He’s not a Moscona who just gets emotional and rants and raves over every little thing. He’s more measured, light-hearted, and goofy, more prone to solemnity than rage in the microphone

And he doesn't announce to the audience, "Be sure to tune in to the next segment when I go on another red-faced rant."

Yea we didn't have a QB last year that got an entire offense to buy into a system that led to the GOAT CFB team

I don't remember anyone saying that about Kardell. Dude blew up every camp he went to. He's been hurt.

I definitely recall people saying Sopsher was lazy.

Kardell refuses to do what is necessary to get in shape and he won’t put effort into learning the playbooks. And that’s coming straight from within the program.

Kardell got pretty heavy his senior year and dropped in the rankings. After signing, however, he rededicated himself and was in great shape when he reported to fall camp. Then he got injured and that was that.

Here is the thing. You all and I can sit here and call Gilbert out on a message board, and that is fine. Media types can do it, and that is ok too.

But when Devin White calls you a candy-arse, then I am standing at full attention, listening to every word he has to say on the matter, and siding 100% with him.
