If on day one of all of this, President Trump had come out suggesting everyone wear a mask, the MAGA Cult would not be claiming their “rights and freedoms” were being infringed upon.

I think wearing a mask at the beginning would’ve been more effective than the mandates that later came - after the virus had rapidly spread

Or, if the CDC and the good doctor Fauci hadn't spent months saying masks were useless only to change their minds and act like they never said that......but nah......blame Trump.

I question whether the president even has the authority to make a national mask mandate.
And it's pretty clear that they don't do much good. But let's keep closing businesses and making stupid rules as we go and expecting different results.

Facts.
All the Trump people are no different than Scientologist. The truth can be right in front of their face, but in their head they are able to justify whatever Trumps says, is the "right way".
If Trump came out and said some person needs to be killed, there are people out there who would really attempt to do it. He has a certain charisma that attracts certain types of people. And he made this whole Covid situation into a big political shite bag.
What this. There will be people who will try to convince people that Trump handled it the right way and that its someone else's fault.

If I was told wear a mask, wash my hands and when a vaccine comes out put serious consideration into getting it but that is all I would be fine with it. Instead we have all this other

Why would i let someone else define what i believe to be any right regardless of my political support or not? Anyway early on CDC said masks especially what’s being worn weren’t helpful for regular people.

Yeah probably. I mean it’s so not a big deal. If it helps people feel ok then cool. This was an issue months ago, now whatever.
Also, they ALWAYS said masks don’t help much and in fact gives people a false sense of invincibility. At some point though you need to try. I still don’t understand the prob with just wearing one.

Let's stop and think about this for a moment. In the early days of the pandemic, the CDC, the Surgeon General and Dr. Anthony Fauci were all opposed to mask wearing. Had President Trump come out in support of people wearing masks back in March or April, the media would have lambasted him and called him anti-science.
