WWE is saddened to learn that WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson has passed away.
1 of "The Stooges" a key piece to the Stone Cold Steve Austin/Vince McMahon storyline... he was 79

fricking serious?
Holy shite. That man had a wealth of knowledge about the business.

Wayyyy wayyyy more than that. He was Vince's most trusted person. Genuis mind for wrestling. He was just as important as Vince through the 80s and 90s imo

Hmmm....there are at least a few people who probably aren't too sad right about now.

I remember seeing him at Cat’s Meow singing Sinatra the weekend of Wrestlemania 30. RIP in peace.

Royal Rumble is my favorite show. More than Wrestlemania.
Him and Jerry Brisco vs The Mean Street Posse in 1999 is still the highest rated segment in RAW history.

16 men went down to Rio and Pat came out on top.
Seriously, though, this sucks. Pat was one of THE key guys in the WWE from Vince taking over from his father until Pat went into semiretirement.

That feud crossed the line so many times.
Between Vince pouring water on the ground in order to walk on it to Vince daring God to strike him down, with Shane quietly taking a step away from him, it was way more fun than it should have been.

One would think. However, seeing him at Survivor Series for Taker farewell was the first time I thought he looked "too old" to be doing all that he does. The makeup job that night might have worked against him, but to me he looked much older and sort of "out of it" than the last time I saw him on TV.

Calling him a "champion" is like calling Rocky Balboa a champion or like calling Tom Cruise an F-14 pilot.

Shane
People think Vince is a character and is crazy, Shane is too. But one of the more down to earth people that has no reason to be. Like at all.
Met him at a resturant, and he actually initiated the conversation with my table and another nearby table.
Eta
I know He's hurting right now. Pat was family to the mcmahons.
