Wouldn't he have to move?

Congressmen aren't actually required to live in the district they represent - they only have to live in the same state. There are several who don't live in their district, most notably Maxine Waters.

Chambers doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell at this - I hope he does run.

What scares the shite out of me is that he'd probably have a good shot at winning.

Have you seen the election results the last time he attempted to be elected to public office?

District 2 is gerrymandered to go all the way from New Orleans East to North BR, following the Miss River. He probably does live in the district.

Nope. See results from last year when he ran for state senate and lost by 50 points. And that's on his home turf where he actually has a few supporters and name recognition. He wouldn't stand a chance against anyone that was somewhat well known in New Orleans politics.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mitch Landrieu tries to run...especially if he's still considering ever running for president. That house seat is his best chance of getting his name out in national politics.

That means nothing as far as the 2nd district is concerned.

They'll vote for a glass of water with the word Democrat on it over whoever the token GOP/libertarian candidate is.

There isn't a doubt in my mind that he would win Ced's district....no doubt.

The ONLY reason I could see Gary Chambers running is because he will get campaign donations, that Shaun King would probably solicit for him from people out of state.. And the donations that are not used, I think the candidate keeps.. This would be nothing but a scam for both of them get make some money on.

I don't think a lot of black people like Gary.

I predict that in the next 5 years Shaun King will be arrested on some type of fraud charges or misuse of funds... Or something like that.

Gravy posted on his FB page that Cedric Richmond was the only black member of Congress from the second blackest state in America.

What about Dollar Bill,Cleo and Charles Nash ?
