Maybe this explains the massive amount down votes im getting.
Not saying I'm getting it; that's a very high price for a truck. I'm gonna look at the 5.3L 2x4. They have a 3.0L v6 diesel. Anyone have any experience with this?

I will say $69 seems high though. I paid $64 out the door with a 100k warranty and TTL for the Denali HD model w Duramax. Bought it in Katy, TX.

My truck cost half of that and has everything I want including seat warmers and cameras.
To each his own, especially if you can afford it; but I would never spend more than $40k for a truck new/used. So much other fun stuff to spend money on.

Pretty much no way this is legit. Extended warrant is at least $2k and assuming LA you're around 9% tax. So you're around $57k selling price. We'll assume $1k for title/license and doc fees, so more like $56k. You didn't get a Duramax Denali HD for $56k.

I've been looking at getting one with the straight-six Duramax since they came out. Totally different character from the 6.2L. All smooth low end torque, obviously doesn't rev high because diesel.
The ten-speed is perfect for that engine as well. As far as drivetrain refinement, noise level and shift quality go, you could put that engine and transmission in a brand-new Mercedes and it would be right at home. They're that nice.
I live in Montana, so I drive on the highway and fast 2-lane backroads a lot, so the fuel economy of the diesel is very appealing for me. 25ish highway MPG in a full size truck is pretty awesome.
It's very quiet in general, inside and out, and not just for a diesel. For reference, I currently have a 2014 Audi A6 TDI, which is a 3.0L V6 diesel in a quiet luxury car, and the 3.0L Duramax is much quieter at idle from outside.

You talk of towing a fifth wheeler in the future.The money you're talking about spending shouldn't be spent on a half ton truck.(No offense to half-ton owners).

seems like a shite ton of money for a 1/2 ton gas burner.
you could easily get in a ram 2500 or F-250 best package. You may not want a diesel though.

If you can comfortably afford it, go for it. I personally wouldn’t be able to sleep at night knowing I had signed the papers on a $70,000 vehicle. Especially when it will be worth half that in 4-5 years.

You hit the nail on the head. I can afford it, but would be too worried some asswipe dings or dents it in the parking lot. La drivers are the worst!
ETA: and the wife taking it out; even thought she's a good driver.

Good insight. That 6.2L has some growl to it and I noticed some vibration while idling.

But I don't think there were any changes for the 2021 model year. So I'd try to find a good deal on a 2020 model.
If you want to tow a 5th wheel, get the 6.5' bed option. Most of the ones on dealers lots in the Denali trim will have the 5.5' bed.
The 6.2L V8 is known for being an incredible motor, but you should also check out the 3.0L Duramax. GMC did it right and gave it an inline 6 configuration. A relative just got one and they love the 30 mpg in a full sized Silverado. Tows their camper with ease too.

Most people enjoy those things about the GM trucks, which is why I think they allow it to be there. I have no doubt that they could engineer the subtle lub-dub idle vibration out.
I would definitely say drive the Duramax and see what you think. If you like the sort-of industrial, gravelly, low-revving nature of a diesel, you'll love it, because it's easily the most refined one I've ever driven in a pickup.
It definitely doesn't have the outright power of the 6.2L when you put your foot down. That shouldn't surprise you given that it has 143 less horsepower, but the torque, 460 lb-ft, is identical to the 6.2L. The diesel also develops that torque at lower RPM than the gas motor does, which means it feels pretty much the same in normal driving.
If you plan on towing at some point in the future, that's more or less exactly what the point of a diesel engine is, so keep that in mind as well. Towing, and still getting decent fuel mileage while towing, is what they excel at.

The SLT model is a LOT cheaper than the Denali model. It doesn't have the fancy grill or wheels, but it can be optioned with adaptive cruise and any motor you want.

When you option an SLT to the equipment level of a base Denali, It's around $3k cheaper. That's nothing to sneeze at, but I wouldn't call it a lot on an over $50k vehicle. But you lose out on the adaptive ride control, dual exhaust if you're into that kind of thing, and a few other small things.
SLT with Premium Plus package is $54,985
Denali with Driver Alert 2 package is $58,053

I’ve got a 2012 Sierra SLE Z21 with 220,000 miles on it , had to put a transmission in it and may need a motor soon . I’ll drop another $5K for a motor and give it to my 16 yo son. Basically a new truck. I park in a parking garage and the arseholes have ding it . I’m checking out 3/4 tons GMC, Fords Rams ,Tundras diesel Need to tow a camper and not worry.

Couldn’t fix the airbag safety restraint system issue.
