Wilson had a very weird career. Not the best player while at LSU. Not the best MLB reliever for first few seasons. Got weird like you said circa 2010 and became best closer in the game and then around 2012 or so you didn’t hear much about him again and he was out the league in 2014.

UPS just changed their policy and will allow beards, to "celebrate diversity instead of corporate restrictions".

I personally hope by next year we can have some duck dynasty, hillbilly, ZZ top beards going.

I think it comes from his time coaching Air Force. One of those discipline things.

I think it's more of a Yankees type thing.

Imagine if Brian Wilson would have been allowed to grow a beard at LSU :)

He played under Smoke. He could have if he wanted to.

No practicing bunting so you can’t scratch out a run to win a game by sacrifice bunting.

The first practice game Brian Wilson was here for he had blue hair. That last Bertman team had a few odd balls on it.

Every practice that I've ever attended the players practiced bunting during batting practice. And they had to get an acceptable bunt down before they were allowed to swing away.
