re: Where does this one rank on your top most boring Masters’ ever?

Only “disappointment” for me was that Augusta was not in it’s usual unnaturally flawless condition. There is a sense of otherworldly strangeness to Augusta’s usual perfection in April that I didn’t feel this year.

For sure.
Even my GF was asking about all the brown spots. That was unfortunate.

I think the wording of your OP is causing a lot of the reaction. It definitely wasn't boring...I watched every minute that I could each day, and recorded what I couldn't watch live.
However, as Masters go, I agree with your sentiment that it was in the top 5 least exciting that I can remember. There hasn't been a Masters that's been this anticlimactic since Tiger's win in 1997. As they say, the tournament begins on the second nine on Sunday. It was virtually over then. However, I'd watch it all over again if it started again Thursday.

Having fans there would have made it much more exciting.
I wouldn’t say boring but anticlimactic. Dj just dominated last two days.

This isn't even close to Zach Johnson's win.
The dude layed up on EVERY SINGLE par 5 that weekend and won.
Ironically, this was one of the most beautiful things about DJ’s final round. He laid up on both 13 and 15 and still made birdies to help runaway with it.
His decisions and course management were masterful all week.

I feel bad DJ didn't get the ovation on 18 he deserved but other than that no fans hasn't bothered me all year. You can hear the conversations and these drone angles are awesome. Why would a gallery prevent them from using drone cameras?

Is this the first year they were used?

Yea, this was the first year they were flown during the round. They’ve used them in the past for some flyover shots. Apparently some of the players complained about the noise during the first round, so they flew them higher Fri-Sun.
Some awesome shots, especially with the fall leaves changing. LINK

3) Im is going to be a beast of a golfer in the years to come. He's boring because he seldom misses a fairway and has a phenomenal short game. Was in awe of his round on Sunday.
The pitch going back to the green on 15 was an incredible shot.

I mean did it really play that much easier? I understand it played easier - I will concede that, but certainly not enough to make a huge difference.
The leaderboards look similar in comparison to last year...
Players 10 under par or more
2020 - 9
2019 - 11
Players even par or better
2020 - 45 (60 players made cut)
2019 - 48 (65 players made cut)
Cut line
2020 - E
2019 - +3
I’m sure there may be some other relevant stats but saying it played easier is dismissive to how well DJ played. That dude could not miss a fairway.

For sure. But he was also putting for eagle on most of the par 5s leading up to the last day including sinking one in the 3rd round.
It was a masterclass all around.
Bryson should watch and learn although there aren't enough protein shakes in the world to teach him approach shots like DJ.
Best on the tour and if he keeps putting like this, he's going to win A LOT more.

I watched every minute of it like I do every year, but I would be lying if I didn't say it was just not the same and never felt the same from the start. There were definitely some pros of seeing the course like we've never been able to before, but the lead-up to the tournament, not having a par 3 tournament to kick things off Wednesday, the 7 AM starts and 5:30 finishes, no fans, no Sunday roars, no real drama whatsoever on Sunday, easier than normal course conditions (out of their control), all combined to make it one of the more boring Masters of recent memory. Probably the least amount of Sunday drama since Spieth won in 2015. People may say Willett, but he at least came back from 3 down after 54 holes to win by 3. At one point Saturday, it appeared it could go quite the opposite when 9 players were tied for the lead, then DJ just blew away the field and never looked back. Extremely impressive tournament for DJ regardless and more than deserving champ. The stretch he's had since the restart has been simply amazing.

Absolutely. A chip or putt from where his ball landed on that shot could roll into the water. I get that it was considerably slower than we are used to seeing, but that was an amazing shot.

I enjoyed it. Loved the views of the course.

Agree. Been there dozens of times and saw views I had never seen before. Bryson’s 3rd shot on 11 in the first round, for example. He was further right of green than I have ever seen. Standing on 14 tee and looking back up 13 fairway
