What yall baws that got this one think so far? I only had time to knock out level 1 but I'm very impressed . The combat is effing awesome !

i've heard on reddit that it was short and dumb. i don't know though because i can't buy a ps5 right now.

Hey man cut me some slack. I earned my ps5 hanging out in my travel ball chair playing on tiger droppings for 6 fricking hours outside gamestop.
Seriously though... the game looks great but its gonna take me a couple days to get the buttons down on all these combat and web flying tricks.

My son got the PS4 version today and really likes it so far but he is a huge Marvel fan especially Spider-Man

This wouldn't surprise me at all. They try so hard to claim this is an entirely different game and not some add-on to the first, but they simply enhanced the game and made miles' story in DLC form.

For a launch game on a new system I'm perfectly cool with that. Especially since I loved the first one. Looking forward to playing it sometime in the next year at this rate.

Have not played it but not impressed by the times I am reading to beat it. I think you only get around 10 hours or so out of the game. I would wait for a price drop.

If your son doesn't have Marvel Unlimited, that would be a cool gift for a Miles Morales fan.

Price should not be a factor if he's a huge fan of the lead character
. By every metric the game is good regardless even if it's a glorified tech demo/expansion hybrid.

I suppose, but i'm not dropping 50 bucks on it if it's only a couple of hours and basically a reskin.
Now, if it's half the game the last spiderman was, then i'll suck it up and get it.

It about 10-12 hours to complete the story and maybe an additional three to wrap up all the side quest.

It is an 8 hour game. 11 for 100%.
If that is too short that is for you to decide.
The game is really good by all accounts I have saw.
Finch using reddit as a critic resource is tough. Reddit thinks all games suck.

Finally played this after getting my PS5 costco bundle last week.
Finished the story and am about 85% or so to completion.
Loved the story. Would have loved for it to be a little longer, but I do appreciate that it wasn't all over the place. It was a pretty focused story. It would have made a great movie, tbh. It'll be interesting to see if they come out with some DLC. Even if they don't, I don't really mind the price. My son is all about Miles Morales but only 5-years sold, so he'll get a lot of use out of this game in a couple of years.
How about that mid-credits scene? I wonder if they'll use him in a Peter Parker game or another Miles game. Or maybe the third game in the trilogy will be a team-up?

Started this the other day because it was a part of the bundle I bought. I must really suck because I got game overed about 5 times in the first 5 minutes because I couldn't keep up with Rhino running down the street. He kept getting away. So I turned this off and went to Demon's Souls. Much easier!

Waiting to catch this on sale. I have a hard time paying regular price for games anymore when I can play games on GamePass and wait for them to go on sale.
