This is Pat Fordes opinion

3. Jordan Jefferson will get on the field for LSU -- early.

"With a good August, the touted true freshman quarterback could wind up at the controls of a low-risk offense by week No. 3 against North Texas. Redshirt freshman Jarrett Lee and Harvard transfer Andrew Hatch are not the answer."

anyone thinking the same thing? whats your take on this?

i would like to see it, but most on this board will argue that you have to give Hatch and Lee there shot first....

yeah, im sure most would disagree, i'd just like to see who likes him. Ive read alot about him, seems like a good choice, nothing against the other two

LSU should start the best player regardless of who it is.

Well being that Jordan Jeffersons head coach said he would play this year i think that is common knowledge, not an opinion.

I don't know about that. Hatch has to be a smart MOFO, with a great arm he could be a very dangerous man.

Jefferson is raw talent and I don't know if he will be able to keep up against smart defenses like Georgia

not sure how Forde can know Hatch and Lee are "not the answer" when we are only a week into fall practice and neither of these guys have had a chance to prove themselves on the field.

I agree that JJ will get on the field early and as often as game situations permit. But I do not believe that he starts any games during the first half of the season, if at all this year.

I expect that Crowton and Milers will create packages of plays for him, and that we will see JJ play in most games.

He may well start next year, though.

I haven't had the chance to listen to a whole lot of talk radio, but a buddy told me that Innes and Mascona (the radio show between Songy and Condon)are saying that Hatch and Lee are looking not so good in practice...can anybody confirm or deny this?

The same attitude that allowed Marcus Randall to almost lose to Oregon State, etc?

I suspect you have had to many Millers...

I also suspect that this is old news...

I also suspect JJ will see the field early; because, we will blow ap st out.

I just get the feeling that Jefferson would look alot like Shockley from Ga. when he was young. DJ was a tremendous prospect who went on to lead the dogs to the SECC later in his career. But who remembers the guy in Death Valley in what was I believe, his freshman year in 2003? He came in for an injured Green for a series or two and Lavalais and company nearly killed the youngster. Life for a freshman on the road in the SEC isn't easy. I hope the kid gets some room to grow without the early pressure to carry the load.

i think it's probably going to turn out to be the truth...why do we only have 3 qb's (only 2 recruited) qb's on our roster? injuries & lack of talented depth could kill us at qb. i'm fearing that hatch & lee might be mediocre and maybe not sec caliber, and jj, will have to be the man.
