Article is insider, but given the criticism of Clark’s play this year, this seems ridiculous right? Is this evidence that he pulls most of his draft rankings out of his arse?
Other LSU players;
Tory Carter - 6th fullback
Jamar Chasr- 2nd WR, 6th overall
Terrace Marshall, 4th WR, 21st overall
Ed Ingram, 5th OG
Tyler Shelvin, 3rd DT
Jabril Cox, 7th OLB
Kary Vincent, 7th CB
Zach Von Rosenberg. 1st punter

It's just proof Kiper has no fricking clue what he's doing.
NFL teams will watch his film from this year and see his absolute inability to shed blocks and run the other direction.

It's just proof he hasnt re evaluated recently

Makes NO sense to me, but Kiper is a certified expert.

They are probably basing this on Damone's measurables. For whatever reason, he is not getting Bo's scheme. But he has spent plenty of time chasing people this year so he's showing off his wheels

He has good physical traits. That is probably as important for NFL scouts as college production. They figure they can teach a player to how to play, read keys, etc. They can't teach him how to be 6'3 245 with decent speed.
Clark was a solid player last season. He's been awful this season. What's the more likely reason for that? He all of a sudden forgot how to play football and became physically weaker in one season? Or, whatever the coaches are asking him to do isn't working and/or he's just not grasping what he's being asked to do?

Damone has all the physical tools, but just hasn’t gotten it mentally yet. The more weeks that go by and he’s making the same mistakes, you start to question whether or not he will get it...he’s over pursuing, out of position, and looks slow.

100% based on potential shown last year. In fairness, it's hard to evaluate anyone on this defense currently.

Who does he think is a better WR than chase? Devonta Smith? Jalen Waddle?

There’s no scheme that asks you to take the wrong angles and not plug your gaps over and over and over again. Baskerville was an immediate improvement. I don’t think it’s a scheme issue.

This is true.
And he's a great kid/team leader type that coaches want in their locker room.
shite, we've had several formally VERY good players look average to shitty in this defense (e.g. Stevens).

Waddle and chase are neck and neck on mock drafts

Granted, he does indeed have a real problem engaging and defeating blocks. I do believe part of that problem is ALSO a result of confusion or otherwise being in the wrong place. But only a minority, most of that is on him, his physicality and mentality. I see him run around, or try to run around, blocks way to often. Sometimes it is because he's got no chance to engage and make a play. Sometimes with no obvious explanation.

Waddle is as explosive as I've seen at the WR position, but Chase is a much safer pick to me. He can run go-routes and burn DBs, but he can also body up people in the red zone and high point in traffic. His playing style lends itself to a longer, more consistent career than Waddles IMO.
Can't go wrong with either.
