Stephen Jackson said a lot about Harden, but the dagger: "What a real one would do is go play for that Black coach and make him look good and build with John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins - some real ones. But, obviously, you want to go chase rappers around."

"The Rockets finally get a young Black coach, a young Black coach gets an opportunity, and you don't want to show up to camp. You don't want to play for him. How's that look?," Jackson said in a 59-second Instagram video. "And you wonder why every time a Black coach gets a job, they put him in a bulls--t situation. Look at what you're doing."

"It’s just simple, James Harden doesn’t want to be held accountable," Jackson said. "D’Antoni is the worst defensive coach in NBA history. Ain’t going to win sh-t, ain’t won sh-t as the head coach, and he’s easy to run over. So, James is trying to continue to be close to D’Antoni so he can’t be held accountable."

Jackson added in the Instagram caption that he likes Harden and even mentions that he let a young Harden borrow one of his expensive watches for a party.

A lot of the players around the league that have made a big deal, rightfully so, over the lack of minority representation amongst general managers and head coaches in this league do not like that James Harden is essentially throwing a bomb into Stephen Silas’ first opportunity being a head coach," Wright said.
Most respected player in the league

Multiple times players MVP.
It is very easy for Steven to say that, he has never been blamed for his teammates and coaches failures.
If that coach is no good, harden will get ther blame for the losses, not coach Silas.

But I thought Harden on your team was guaranteed 50 wins and contender status regardless of roster/coach?

There really is no other way to put it folks: Jim Harden looks like a total dick throughout this entire off-season, which is impressive considering how badly the Rox have fricked up over the past few years.

Well we got 5 - 6 years of that in a row haven’t we?
The dude won 55 games in the West with his best teammates being Gordon, ariza, and Beverly.

Jackson is saying at least show up for Silas even if deep down you just want out ( which is understandable). You have Cousins & Walls who aren't peak , but aren't bums.

Who is the best player in the NBA?
1. LeBron James: 7
2. Giannis Antetokounmpo: 1
In 2019, after James suffered the first significant injury of his career and the Lakers missed the playoffs, no one picked him. Instead, Kawhi Leonard was the runaway winner in this category.
This time around, those roles are reversed. James dominated the balloting, earning seven of the eight votes of those polled, only failing to get all eight because of how the question was interpreted.
"If we're talking about the best player over the course of a season, I'm not picking LeBron," said the Eastern Conference executive who picked Antetokounmpo instead. "If we are talking about in the playoffs, it's probably LeBron, because he always is."
For just about everyone else, however, the answer was simple.
"Until you can find someone otherwise, you can't prove anyone is more reliable or consistent or important to their team winning than LeBron," a Western Conference scout said. "People may want to argue [Anthony Davis] is the best player on that team, but the burden of proof is on everyone else right now. He does it everywhere, he does it every single year."
Still, for all the praise for James, at least one voter has his potential successor for the throne picked.
"If you put a gun to my head and you have to go win a playoff series, I'd say LeBron," an Eastern Conference scout said. "But I'll tell you what: That motherf---er in Dallas is coming. ... That dude is going to win multiple MVPs."
ESPN spoke to eight scouts and executives about everything from who had the best and worst offseasons to who will lift the Larry O'Brien Trophy next summer.
5 different players mentioned as potential best in the league, James Harden not one of them.

Stephen Silas says both Harden and Tucker practiced today. "They were very good. It's good to have them there. Good to have their spirits, veteran savvy, smarts and ability."
Silas said he spoke with James Harden and had a good conversation. He wanted to leave it at that. He said Harden brought up good points.

Adrian Wojnarowski @wojespn Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma has agreed to a three-year, $40M contract extension, including a player option on 2023-2024 season, sources tell ESPN.

Adrian Wojnarowski @wojespn Replying to @wojespn Player option on a non-max rookie extension is a first in league, a creative wrinkle that allows Kuzma into unrestricted free agency in his prime at 28. Smart move and great benefit for Kuzma should he out-perform this deal headed into summer of 2023.

Kuz got the bag. And a player option. I feel like the only Lakers fan that likes him

Surprised he didn’t get more. I feel like on the open market he could convince a mediocre team without a National following his 15ppg could put them over the edge.
He also doesn’t want to leave LA too so I’m sure LAL may have used that as leverage. In reality he becomes a trade asset next year when Bron can use that money to go after someone at the trade deadline.
