Scott Woodward was 99% correct

Everything about Scott Woodward‘s letter yesterday was great other than the very last sentence. He lost credibility with a very large amount of people with his remarks on “systemic racism”

Agreed. Had he just removed the word “systemic” it would have been correct.

People freaking out about that sentence need to really think about why it bothers them so much. And then also think about the reasons he said it.

If you understand what that phrase means it would bother you as well.

LSU is in CYA mood after the Fox news fiasco and the players only march.
Whether Woodward believes it or not, he had to come out 1000% behind Koy and use the correct PC buzzwords, which included systemic racism.

What it means to me is a phrase used to broadly imply every single white person is racist. A phrase weaponized to diffuse meaningful debate for the satisfaction of not dealing with the true problem.
The thing that scares me is if you call someone something so long, so often they inevitably become that something. There will be a fracture point.

He is part of the bought and paid for problem. If he is not 100% politically correct, he will be terminated.

Because white people are tired of being called racists for being born white! Enough is enough just stfu already

No - caving to this bullshite will only make it worse. The PC coddling needs to go, the season is toast anyway, just rip the band-aid off now.

Woodward says systemic racism and you get bothered by it (and yes I usually get pissed hearing it) but he had to say it and if we started losing recruits or athletes turn back towards LSU sports then where do you go then? Truthfully I think it’s a smart play by him.

If you are not a racist then it shouldn't bother you. It's like all Muslims are not terrorist, yet we had a Muslim ban, all Black people are not "thugs". So if you don't fit the narrative, why does it bother you?

Well you are dead wrong.

Actually it means the exact opposite. Systemic racism just means that the current rules or processes in place negatively impacts one group over another. And this means that even if the policemen aren’t racist, policing can negatively impact one group over another.

When the hell did we have a Muslim band? Do you mean when we banned a hand full of countries that happened to be Muslim who couldn't verify who was traveling......but didn't ban the rest of the world that is Muslim?

I get why it seems like systematic racism feels that way, but thats really not what its supposed to mean.
Its supposed to mean that there are systems in place that work against minorities(intentionally or not). I think if we take an honest look at how everything works in society I think we could all agree it exists. The problem is so many get triggered just by the phrase they can't have an honest conversation. The other issue is, the left is so biased they can't see that they support systematic racism!
The whole thing is a shite show because most people can't take their emotions out and have legitimate intelligent conversations with each other. And so many people want to blame someone else instead of fixing themselves first.

My question is have we seen the body cam videos? Is there evidence this happened and what are the circumstances behind the encounter? This comes from someone who was once a police officer and now a federal agent. I’m not saying one way or the other but where is the evidence that it happened the way the 19 to 20 year old said it happened. The burden of proof is on that person. Now is it concerning that the officers involved are on administrative leave...yes it is. If we are to a point of placing people on administrative leave for accusations then we have fallen of a cliff in this country; however, if there is fire behind this smoke then it will all come out.
