Anyone have any insider info. as to the nature of this? Injury? Discipline? Personal or family issues?
I like Lee. I hope everything's okay with him.

LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette would not comment on the nature of Lee's absence and said Tigers Coach Les Miles would address it after the afternoon practice.
Odd. I hope it's not an injury. Or that Lee has decided that he won't get ample playing time at LSU because of Hatch, Jefferson, and the imminent arrival of RS.
Those are very unlikely scenarios, though. He probably missed practice for some personal reason.

Yes, I saw this on tigerdroppings.com, on the Tiger Rant. On page 1 there is a thread named "JL not a moring practice".

Anyone know if it's a regular ankle sprain or the dreaded "high" ankle sprain?
Posted on 8/11/08 at 12:31 pm to death valley driver
Some fairly reliable people elsewhere are reporting it's a high ankle sprain.
Don't know severity.
[Note: I don't have practice access. Just passing on what I heard from a couple of people that have had that access in the past.]

I'm afraid this was the reason. (Hope that I'm wrong but wouldn't be surprised if JL quits)

I was just speculating. And apparently, my speculation was wrong. I did some digging and, as I posted above, some fairly reliable people indicate it is a high ankle sprain.

Put yourself in JL shoe for a second.
1) JL was recruited by J. Fisher, not Gary Crowton.
2) JL is the pro-type QB, not the spread-QB that GC looks for.
3) Would you stay if you see that Hatch will start at QB, with JJ waiting in the wing and RS is coming???
Again, these are my thoughts only...nothing official...
BTW, it's just an ankle injury so...
