Seems like both Big Cat and PFT are probably stretched thin and kind of checked out on doing their weekly schticks. I’ve always thought their show is weaker on Wednesday/Friday during football season but good lord it has become boring. Either some time off during the season or some kind of new blood might help at this point.

They need something new for sure. I listened to every episode for about a year and half and I don't know why exactly but I have missed several over the past month. Just not as entertaining as they once were.

Yea, I stopped listening a while back. It just got a little old to me and seemed like they don’t put as much into it because they are both doing a ton of other shite as well since barstool has grown

I listened everyday until about a year and a half ago. Then I would just see if I liked the guest they were interviewing and skip to that. But now I’ve unsubscribed. I think I’ve grown out of their target demographic

Pod casts in general run hot and cold for me. I listen hardcore for 6 month to a year then fall off for a while and hop back in later

The quality of the show sucks during football season.

I don't watch enough nfl and it's all they talk about

I stopped listening at the beginning of this year. Every episode feels exactly the same.

The big layoff on live sports is what did it for me. I still listen to the first half hour or so of Monday episodes since the NFL started back. But haven't finished an episode in months.

But that goes for several other podcasts for me too. Not having a 45 commute twice a day cuts down on just listening while driving. There are about a half dozen pods I haven't listened to in weeks, and there is a pretty big backlog if I wanted to catch up. The good thing about sports pods is they're pretty topical and timely, so you can jump back in.

I used to listen religiously and I’ve found myself slowly losing interest. They’ve kind of morphed into the type of show they used to make fun of.

Big Cat has worked himself to death since the Penn deal and has a newborn at home. Guy could use a vacation but he’s pretty much the most popular person at Barstool beside Portnoy. During football season the show feels more like a NFL podcast and most of it gets old after the first month. The show basically comes down to the interviews and it’s the one thing that show still does well.

I think big cat will probably bail after the next time barstool gets sold.

Think he’s working this hard so he can cash out and just take like a 3 year break and watch his kid grown up, then grab a good radio job that’s more stable

Same. I'll listen to a certain one religiously then randomly stop for whatever reason and come back months later and binge all the ones I missed that look interesting in a couple days.

I still find it good but it has lost some of its luster. They are too NFL focused. Barely touch on college football and other sports. I actually think the show is at its best when there are no sports going on. Too many WWE guests and dungeons and dragons.

Also, I’m shocked I didn’t hear much chatter on TD about Coach O being on the show the Friday before the auburn game to promote his book. Not the best look

I can't think of many podcasts that keep people listening this long into it without any dropoff.

I will say tho The Yak is probably the best thing they have going right now

The corona content pushed me to where I don't listen nearly as much. I still like to listen to the Monday recaps from the NFL weekend and the Friday shows, but I rarely listen to a Wednesday show unless its a guest I like.

With the way LSU is playing this year, that has played nicely into my interests. I guess I'll be the first to say that I still listen religiously. It's typically the first podcast in my playlist that I finish before moving onto something else. I still love the fastest 2 minutes. I will skip guests that I don't care about, but that is how I've always treated it. One thing I definitely think they should do to improve the show is get rid of Billy. I know they are leaning into how awful he is as part of the joke, but it has run it's course.

I know some are over the Monday morning NFL thing, but I still like it.

But the thing I don't like about the Monday post-NFL weekend show is that I feel nowadays they do way more and too much actual takes and NFL thoughts and way less jokes and stupid shite like before.

I actually listened today because it was AJ soprano but I skipped straight to it. Everything else is the same stuff
