Not to get off subject, but China is about to invade Taiwan

They've been building up their coastal military presence for weeks now. They're going to do it at the height of election Fever when no one else in the world is watching, just like Putin did in Crimea during the Olympics.
Taiwan is also ready, but they simply don't have the military and naval might to fend them off.
Our real only hope in the region is India, and/or some combo of Japan and Australia. Southeast Asia and the Pan Pacific regions are scared right now.

They're trying to bait Trump. It's not to do it when nobody is looking. They hope to get him to strike them before the election. He won't do it.
How is Three Gorges looking these days??

They encroach further towards the Philippine Islands every year also. This is all brought to you by Jughead and Braindead Joe!

We just signed an agreement with India. They can stave them off long enough for the election to take place. Then OMB will whip that arse.

They 100% will do it in the event that the election in the US is contested and leads to unrest here. Only then.

We apparently sold missiles to Taiwan today, then China said it was going to put sanctions on US defense companies.
Guess its a good thing Lockheed don't sell to the CCP. Boeing, though, may take a hit.

The Trump administration on Monday notified Congress of plans for a $2.37 billion sale of Harpoon missile systems to Taiwan just hours after Beijing announced sanctions on U.S. defense contractors, including Boeing, the lead contractor on the Harpoon deal.
“The United States maintains an abiding interest in peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait and considers the security of Taiwan central to the security and stability of the broader Indo-Pacific region,” the State Department said. It said the sale would not alter the military balance in the region.
Harpoon missiles are capable of striking ships and land targets. Boeing says the missile uses GPS-aided inertial navigation and delivers a 500-pound blast warhead. It can target coastal defense sites, surface-to-air missile sites, exposed aircraft, ships in port, and port and industrial facilities.
Earlier Monday, China said it was imposing sanctions on Boeing, Lockheed Martin and other U.S. defense firms for providing weapons to Taiwan.

I hear it is ripe for another "earthquake".

Taiwan has a capable military, but it would need serious help from the US, Japan, India, and Australia to really scare back China.

China is extremely vulnerable right now. They're posturing. And if it came down to it, the Three Gorges Dam is ready to be toppled by anyone with even a drone with an M80 firecracker taped to it.
China would be completely destroyed. Top to bottom.

I bet Trump is paying attention

Interesting point and likely spot on.
