I had both back after about a week of testing positive. It sucked, but it saved me a lot of money. I was just eating apples and oranges all day

For general smell and taste 2 weeks.....however, I'm an avid bourbon guy and a month and a half out and I still feel like I'm working on getting my palate back

What was the worst to eat or drink without flavor?
For me the texture of meat without flavor was pretty awful. Cold fruit “tasted” the best. Some crunch, some moisture.
Beer was horrid the one time I tried. Coffee was pretty bad, but I kept drinking that.
Still got most of the burn from bourbon, so I drank plenty of that

Baked fish and it wasn't even close

About 3 weeks before it came back, then for about a month it was on and off. Some days I could smell/no taste others no smell/could taste.

Definitely want to take a steroid burst if you lose taste/smell. It will return more quickly that way

Starting to come back after 10 days. I could always tell something was sweet or spicy, so I put hot sauce on everything and it made it better. Can’t imagine being gone a month or more.

You should regain full taste and smell by Easter.

I’ve been sick for 9 days. Lost taste and smell at outset. Literally nothing. F this. My 17 year old son had it and hasn’t had taste or smell for 2 months.

I just stick my finger in my arse and smell it. If I can’t smell my butthole then I guess I have it

It’s just the flu...
Ed: friends daughter had it months ago and still hasn’t completely regained smell/taste.
Also, come November 3rd, everyone will get their senses back.

Had a nasty case of it, in bed & nonfunctional for 5 weeks. Never lost taste/smell.

It sounds like all this 3-4 weeks of no taste is worth a 6 month home incarceration of the entire country and destruction of the economy.

So..You didn't actually lose it a few days ago if it's worse now. It was just decreased.

It started to come back after three weeks. Back to normal by a month.

Right at 2 weeks it came back slightly. Fully back after 3 weeks probably.
