3. The NBA: $7.4 billion
Despite ranking third here, no American league has international appeal like the NBA. With a focus on stars and the bonus of a Chinese market that makes up a large part of its fan base, the NBA is the most global American sporting league in terms of impact. It’s also the league that covers the most international territory both in the preseason and regular season.

The Chinese Communist Party can probably make up that difference for the NBA.

Y’all hate the NBA...we get it

Seeing as how they had to cancel the season and then renew it in a bubble, while allowing no fans... What did you expect to happen.

Revenue projections for the league this season were missed by about $1.5 billion, the person said. The losses were the result of a combination of factors — the shutdown caused by the pandemic, the cancelation of 171 regular-season games, completing the season in a bubble at Walt Disney World without fans, the nearly $200 million price tag for operating that bubble and a yearlong rift with the Chinese government that saw NBA games not shown on state television there.
I know it's sports writers with journalism degrees who don't know anything, but a reduction in revenues or a miss relative to projections is not a "loss." Also, the expenses associated with the bubble don't have anything to do with a decline in revenues.

they don't like facts dude. since revenue sharing is 50/50. it works out to be a loss of a little over $1 milli per player

The number of NBA cocksuckers in spite of the NBA's slavish support for an organization that would just as soon see you dead is mindblowing.

That’s what I like to hear from an organization that is far left.

NBA is officially in the NHL tier of sports. A regional niche. Despite sucking every dick that will jizz a penny down its throat.
Boom
How you doing after last night my baw? Wife Atleast give you some after to get your mind off the game?

I mean, does this explanation really not seem like a possibility to you?

Not an issue. League was forced to cancel 170+ games and fully financed the bubble at Disney.
Lost a ton of money on playoff tickets which are higher in addition to the loss if regular season tickets.
All sports leagues are taking a hit.
NBA wil be fine long term. They accepted this when the bubble was created.

I mean I get what you are saying but you can't really see a company miss out on 1.5 BILLION and not call it a loss.
That 1.5 billion was lost throughout the season and as things changed.
So the bubble didn't effect revenue when they moved every team to 1 facility without fans and had to pay and extra 200 mil to do it without gaining revenue?
