If you love America and freedom and great LA food you will savor eating at Southside. Can hardly say enough good things about it.

If these Karen's, SJWs and liberals hate the Nazis so much, they should really stop acting like them.

Seriously who would have one of those on their wall
Someone who loves America and wants to honor the bravery and sacrifice it took to defeat the Nazis and capture that flag.

It's a damn WWII exhibit, not some Nazi sympathizer. If she doesn't like, go somewhere else ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/icons/shrug.gif)

Well.. The flag/Banner has been removed...
I tell ya.. This generation does not appreciate anything that those guys fought and died for... Some of them just want to remove all history and the other just thinks that life is a game of call of duty...
I am not sad for the man or restaurant... Just sad that it is this way.. Like I said... That Flags stands for so much.. Yet to some people our own Flag doesn;t stand for anything.. The hypocrisy with the left is upsetting.
Here are some US GI's trading souvenirs. I just can't find Bill Mauldin's cartoon about trading souvenirs, but I will.

I was practically raised by a WWII vet. He had a number of Nazi items from the war in his house. I thought it was pretty neat as a kid.

with a placard or something explaining what it is and why it’s there.
I lived in Slidell for years and frequented Southside. I still go a couple times a year now that I live further away. EVERY piece of memorabilia on the walls in the place has a placard on it explaining the piece's provenance. This flag was captured by a soldier in WWII and his family donated it to Southside to be displayed in honor of the soldier and all the men and women who fought for our country. It's displayed in a glassed frame with a placard on the front of it.

She should just burn the place down. They will appreciate the insurance money
Won't be the first time it burned to the ground. After Katrina flooded it out he was damn near finished the rebuild and a kitchen fire burned it to the ground. Much of the memorabilia on the walls was saved and salvaged by the owner and staff before the fire would have claimed it.

And some Karen is crying about it. They should tell her to frick off and move on about their business. Caving to these people is the absolute worst option.

And now that bitch of Karen will feel victorious, validated in her smug superiority, and will move on the the next thing to destroy.
And it will only get worse until someone has the balls to tell her and those like her to frick off.

Why not have an American flag more visible?
There's literally like a 12ft American flag hanging over the bar in the middle of the restaurant.
The German flag in question isn't so visible that you can see it while passing the restaurant on the highway. This woman found the only angle it can be seen from the PARKING LOT and instead of investigating further to see what it was about she jumped to conclusions that a place of business is proudly displaying a "racist" flag and jumped on Facebook to make her attention seeking post.
Had she gotten her fat arse out the car and looked closer in the window she would have seen it's hanging on a wall right next to a Japanese flag and dozens of other WWII and other war memorabilia.
The restaurant is a living museum and monument to all who have served this country. They just happen to serve some amazing food in the museum as well!

How is honoring America and it's soldiers "cheesy"?
Well, it’s a restaurant, not a museum. And the name gives no indication this is what you’re walking into. Themed restaurants are cheesy to me & not an environment I want to have a meal in

So if I am just passing by I will be able to see why a swastika flag, that is so visible, is put up in the restaurant?
Nope. You wouldn't see it if you were passing by on the highway. You literally need to be in the parking lot and pulling into the 1 parking spot that's in front of that exact window (which faces away from the highway) to see it.

Good. And those of us who DO enjoy Southside are better off without you.

would argue that unless it is advertised as a restaurant and museum,
It's right there on the restaurant's official web page...

I said it’s a questionable business model to serve eggs with a side of nazi memorabilia.
That so many people think I’m out of my mind for having that opinion has me second guessing a lot of assumptions
Who cares if you think it's questionable? He's got great food, honors American heroes and this is a manufactured issue from a SJW snowflake.
