My first experience at a live game for New Orleans and even just NBA in general was when I was 13. It was a road game for New Orleans against the Dallas Mavericks. This was the last game of the 2010-2011 NBA season, so this was when New Orleans were the Hornets, we had Chris Paul, and this was prime Mavericks with Dirk and Jason Kidd before they went on to win the championship.
It was a lot of fun for me back then. Because it was the American Airline Center, I was mocked a lot since I wore a CP3 jersey and I honestly had a laugh at it. Security guard at the front telling me to remove the jersey before saying he was joking. Old guy next to my seat asking me if I was lost. Before the game, the Dallas mascot pointing at me and my jersey and then rubbed the Hornets’ bench Gatorade cups under his armpit. I want to go to another game soon.
I remember a Lakers sucks chant breaking out because someone wore a Lakers hat(ironic since the Mavs would sweep the Lakers later and New Orleans fought the Lakers first round), the Mavericks winning the game and I think Dirk had 32 points. Looking back, it was the only time I saw Dirk live, Jason Kidd live, and a younger CP3 live.

Remember being very young and fam getting season tickets the year right before Katrina, and Dan the Man Dickau was running the show. Don’t have a specific memory of one game, but rather just the 18 win season as a whole

My first game was when the Lakers played the Charlotte Hornets in an exhibition game in the New Orleans Arena. I had no clue the Hornets were considering moving here at the time as I was just 13 or 14.
I did get Shaq and Kobe's autograph so there's that.
I went to quite a few games their first year in New Orleans and remember us playing Dwyane Wade, Lamar Odom, and the Heat in a playoff series and more people caring about the LSU spring game and the NFL draft than the playoff game...

My first Pels game was the 2015 regular season finale, where the Pels beat the defending champ Spurs to grab the 8th seed in the playoffs.
The entire crowd was wearing red and we were all on our feet for the entire 4th quarter. My friend was watching on TV and he said it was by far the loudest he had ever heard the SKC.
AD had two blocks in the final minute and the entire crowd was chanting "MVP" anytime he touched the ball. Was an incredible game and a crazy introduction to attending a NBA game.

I flew over from England in maybe...2010... to see Chris Paul play... and to experience a playoff like atmosphere going into the playoffs at the end of the regular season.
Paul was injured...didn’t play, we Had a losing record. It was when that fat walrus was coaching.
But.. it was the game where we were about 30 Points down and we somehow came back to take the lead on a disgusting Marcus Thornton baseline hammer dunk which made all 412 of us in attendance go nuts.

Game against the Pistons during the teams inaugural season. The game was later in the season. I just looked it up, Hornets won 93-89 behind 20-8-8 from Jamal Mashburn, and 19-18 from Jamaal Magloire.

Horicans vs Ben Wallace led Pistons the year after they won it all. NO won a close game and mob made a fan wearing a Billups jersey turn it inside out leaving the stadium.

My first game was 2003 I think. Hornets hosted the Spurs but Timmy didn’t play. Mashburn went off!
