Do we not already give the same people guaranteed income in the form of food stamps, medicaid, housing, etc? Sure we can give people guaranteed income if we cut every other program.

Now they won’t have to sell their food stamp cards for drug cash, though. They’ll eat better and be healthier, and that will start a domino effect that will lead them to become self-sufficient citizens. Or not.

I’d be ok with cutting all those programs out completely and just sending 1 check a month and let people figure out how to spend it. The amount of check depends on sliding scale of income until you earn enough to get nothing.
